A Home Away from Home

The Pepper Pot has everything you need to ensure a peaceful, stress-free holiday. This quaint cottage – comprised of a double and twin room – sleeps up to four people, making it a fitting choice for either a romantic retreat or family holiday. The cosy living room is equipped with leather sofas, DVD player and a log burning fire for those comfortable nights in.

There is a separate kitchen dining area, a master bathroom with en-suite bath and overhead shower as well as a private garden that includes a four-piece outdoor dining table and parasol – perfect for chilling outside during those warm summer evenings. The Pepper Pot offers you the chance to switch off from the world and connect with nature, but there is also Wi-Fi, so that you can stay connected online as well.

Silverdale

Located in the centre of Silverdale village, The Pepper Pot offers a prime location in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Silverdale boasts many fantastic walks, including an easy-walking grassland that leads down to the shore at The Cove, where you can sit on the beach with a picnic and look out across Morecambe Bay or explore the little caves and cliffs.

For stunning views and a picturesque walk, look no further than Arnside Knott. With the blossoming flowers of summer, this hill comes alive with a plethora of butterfly species, offering the perfect opportunity for a day out to do some butterfly spotting.

Things to Do

Silverdale is just a stone’s throw away from the RSPB’s Leighton Mossnature reserve, home to the North West’s largest reed bed and a wide range of incredible wildlife including otters, bearded tits, marsh harriers, egrets and red deer.

Take a stroll to Eaves Wood, an ancient woodland boasting a leaf-covered forest floor and hidden grassy glades. Climb to the top of King William’s Hill and pay a visit to The Pepperpot (the other one!), a monument erected to celebrate Queen Victoria’s Jubilee; and whilst you’re there, take time to absorb the stunning views extending all the way to the Yorkshire Dales and Bowland Fells.

The Knott (6 Guests) At The Royal in Silverdale, we have two inviting cottages situated right on our doorstep in the heart of the Silverdale village. These cottages, lovingly known as The Knott and The Pepper Pot, draw their names from famous landmarks in the area and are the perfect accommodation for families and friends looking to explore the beautiful Lancashire countryside.  The Knott, situated just a 5-minute walk from the beach, is the larger of the two cottages. It sleeps up to six people across three bedrooms. The rooms consist of one King-sized master bedroom, a double room, and a twin room. This spacious holiday cottage has a large living area. It is adjoined by a kitchen ideal for entertaining guests and preparing large family meals. You’ll also find a dishwasher, washer-dryer, fridge-freezer, and a large dining table all at your disposal.  The living area is ideal for relaxing after a long hike or day out.
