Great British Food Festival – 25th-27th August
Hosted at the beautiful Stonyhurst College in Clitheroe, The Great British Food Festival brings a fantastic selection of food producers and chefs together to present the best in local food. You can expect chef demos, street food, a BBQ stage, and plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained.

Holker Chilli Fest – 7th-8th September

If you have a love for all things spicy, the Holker Chilli Fest is the place for you. For two days, chilli companies from all over the UK and local food suppliers will be at Holker Hall to show off their spicy produce. There will be plenty of entertainment as well as demonstrations and a chilli eating competition.
The festival is open between 10.30am-5pm and tickets cost £6.50 for adults while children go free.
Lakes Cakes Fest – 15th September
This is the perfect event for those with a bit of a sweet tooth. The Lakes Cake Fest is held at The Factory Tap in Kendal and will feature the best of the best of local cake makers and producers as well as some exciting demonstrations throughout the day.

Taste Cumbria – 28th September
This is Cumbria’s biggest food and drink festival, welcoming local shops, restaurants, chefs, and foodies to Cockermouth for food, drinks, and celebrations. You’ll be able to visit the 80 stalls selling everything from fresh bread to G&Ts while enjoying the musical stylings of a number of local bands.
The Lakes Autumn Whiskey Festival – 26th October
A little later on in the year, head to The Lakes Distillery in Cockermouth for the Autumn Whiskey Festival. You’ll get the opportunity to enjoy a tour of the distillery and learn all about the process of making whiskey with a chance to sample the different spirits. There will even be alpacas to hang out with after the tour!
